ELIPS Suite

Any company which develops or intends to develop cost optimized phones, expert in embedded software or not. From large organizations targeting millions of devices per year to small companies developing custom phones for very specific usages. ELIPS Suite is also extremely relevant for chipset vendors who want to provide a well packaged and easy to customize total solution to their customers.

ELIPS Suite brings the advantages of open Operating Systems down to low-cost platforms. If you are an ODM or a design house, you will be able to fulfill the requirements of your customers in terms of cost, schedule and features. ELIPS Suite will help you design-in more projects and execute them faster. If you are an OEM, you will be able to launch new attractive devices rapidly, with limited development efforts. Your device cost will remain extremely aggressive but will integrate unique features that are usually only available on high-end phones.

Open-source software suites such as Android are attractive: their code is freely accessible and they leverage the effort of large teams in large organizations such as Google. However, they require very costly platforms (powerful processors, large memories, large display), and very significant engineering efforts to be productized. If you want to develop cost optimized phones, limit your development efforts and be rapidly on the market, ELIPS Suite is for you.

Yes. ELIPS Suite is shipped worldwide in millions of handsets.

ELIPS Suite handsets have been certified by most of the major and most demanding operators, worldwide.

ELIPS Suite is a reference solution. It integrates all the features you need to make a feature phone. Thanks to our advanced tools, you can quickly customize ELIPS Suite to change the user interface and add rich applications or connect new hardware extensions with very limited effort.

ELIPS Suite allows to have a single code base that will run on various platforms, possibly from different chipset vendors, all with the same tools. This dramatically helps development teams in working together and allows you to select the best platform per segment, per customer or per project.

Memory:

The ELIPS Suite code is the most compact software solution on the market. Our customers have designed low-BoM high-volume handsets having memories lower than 4MB.
Please get in touch with us to discuss your feature requirements and we will provide you with a detailed memory breakdown for your device project.

CPU

ELIPS Suite runs perfectly on processors such as ARM7, even MPEG4 multimedia phones with a large QVGA display. For higher-end phones, having more advanced display and multi-media features, processors such as the ARM9 family are recommended.

Please get in touch with us. Our team stands ready to deliver you an evaluation package for ELIPS Suite including tools, documentation, binaries and source code. We can also organise an introduction workshop for your teams at your premises or ours.

ELIPS Stack

If you have developed a Linux device and want to add telephony features to it, ELIPS Stack  is exactly what you need. If you are using a Linux distribution, such as Moblin / Maemo or other proprietary versions, ELIPS Stack is the de facto proven solution to add telephony.

A few open source implementations of a telephony stack are available. Most of the time, they miss key features required by the operators, not surprisingly, the most difficult features to implement and test. In addition, these open-source implementations  are rarely supported by a dedicated team of experts. For such a critical function of the device, support during field testing and certification is a must and will save you months of painful test and trials, and avoid the delays most companies face during field testing and certification.

Unless you can afford a huge investment in productizing an open source implementation, you should use our complete and already market-proven solution: ELIPS Stack. In addition, we provide you peace of mind with all the support you need from project start to final certification.

Very mature. The software inside ELIPS Stack is also a key element of our ELIPS Suite product, which has been shipped in millions of devices worldwide and has passed certification with even the most demanding operators.

Yes. Depending your strategy, you can use ELIPS Stack or we help you productizing the open source implementation provided in Android. It’s up to you!

Yes. ELIPS Stack can easily be integrated into any kind of Linux device.

ELIPS Stack has already been connected to the most popular 2G/3G modems available on the market.
