Open-Plug’s component technology scooped the prize of the most innovative technology development at Inaugural Asian Mobile Innovation Awards at 2006 3GSM World Congress Asia. The competition was entered by over 70 young, small and start-up companies across Asia which develop innovative technologies, content and applications for the mobile industry. The short-listed companies presented to the judging panel comprising senior representatives from Ericsson, Bharti-Airtel, KTF, Smart Communications, and SpinVox.

Open-Plug is now in the shortlist for the innovation category of the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards at the 3GSM World Congress 2007. The company will be presenting at a live session of the Mobile Innovation Forum – Monday 12th February 2007 – in Barcelona and compete against five other short-listed companies. The eventual winner of the 2007 Global Mobile Innovation Award will be announced during the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of Tuesday 13th February 2007.
