Open-Plug and AT4 wireless cooperate to deliver best-in-class Conformance Testing Services to Handset Makers
Sophia-Antipolis, France and Malaga, Spain – May 25th, 2007 – Open-Plug, a leading supplier of mass market software platforms for the handset industry, and AT4 wireless, a global supplier of Testing Services and Solutions for wired and wireless technologies, today announced that they have established a cooperation agreement to offer best-in-class conformance testing services to handset makers using Open-Plug ELIPS Framework software platform worldwide.
As part of its partnership with Open-Plug, AT4 wireless will develop skills on the Open-Plug ELIPS software platform. This will enable AT4 wireless to provide conformance testing services in an optimal way to Handset Makers using ELIPS in order to help them to reduce time and costs. Open-Plug and AT4 wireless will also cooperate to pre-certify ELIPS on selected wireless chipsets by performing conformance testing on reference chipset platforms. This will ensure an optimal integration of the software on the reference platform to ease handset development thus accelerating the final handset conformance testing.
Through this agreement, Open-Plug and AT4 wireless offer their customers a faster way to launch their products by securing this critical conformance testing phase.
“We were already able to offer ‘one-stop-shop’ licensing for a complete handset software solution including applications from leading software vendors,” said Eric Baissus, CEO of Open-Plug. “We wanted to go one step further by offering our customers the capability to have access to conformance testing services for a better time-to-market. We are happy to cooperate with AT4 wireless, the well recognized lab in this field of expertise”.
