Open-Plug appoints Magic4 founder Simon Wilkinson to its supervisory board

A leading wireless visionary and entrepreneur will add a wealth of expertise to the company

Sophia Antipolis, France – July 4th 2007 – Open-Plug, a leading supplier of mass market software platforms for the handset industry, today announced that a leading wireless visionary and experienced business leader, Simon Wilkinson, has joined the Company's Supervisory Board. The addition of Simon Wilkinson further strengthens Open-Plug’s board as the company expands to meet the increasing demand for scalable, flexible and open platforms for the wireless industry.

Simon Wilkinson has a long-standing track record, having successfully led major companies in the mobile and device arena. His previous experience includes serving as Senior Vice President & General Manager, Content and Services Organization at Openwave, and as founder and CEO of Magic4 – pioneer in the wireless messaging and value added data services space – until its acquisition by Openwave in 2004.

Prior to cofounding Magic4 in 1999, he held senior international positions at Philips Consumer Communications. Simon brings Open-Plug nearly twenty years of wireless industry expertise and entrepreneurial, professional and managerial experience in all aspects of information technology.
